2011 Red Boudreau Dinner
RMW will attend the 2011 Red Boudreau Dinner this evening to honor fellow lawyers, Daniel White from the White Oliver Amundson & Gallagher firm, and New Lawyer, Oleg Cross of the Cross Law Group.
The Red Boudreau Dinner began in 1984 to remember the legacy of one of San Diego’s most highly regarded trial lawyers, Red Boudreau, and to support his lifelong charity, St. Vincent de Paul. In 1990, it was decided to also recognize a local San Diego attorney who exemplified the highest levels of professionalism, civility and integrity with a special award in memory of the late Daniel T. Broderick who was another highly respected local trial attorney.
This year, the Boudreau Committee created a new award to recognize the contributions by new attorneys, who have practiced seven years or less, with the “Judge David R. Thompson New Lawyer Award”. This award recognizes a new attorney who shows a strong commitment to the administration of justice and who demonstrates significant service to the legal profession. The committee is comprised of the: American Board of Trial Advocates, Association of Business Trial Lawyers, Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, San Diego Defense Lawyers Association, San Diego County Bar Association and its New Lawyers Division, the five American Inns of Court in San Diego and the San Diego Inn of Court.
Mr. White is this year’s recipient of the Broderick Award and Mr. Cross will receive the Judge Thompson New Lawyer Award. Congratulations to our esteemed colleagues.
