Signifcant Reduction of Settlement Paid in Northern California Case

Plaintiff, Joann Cook, filed a complaint for injuries she suffered in a motor vehicle accident with our client, Amir Youssefi and United Imports. Liability would have been adverse to Youssefi as his vehicle collided with the rear of Plaintiff’s vehicle on the US-101 Southbound. Plaintiff suffered medical damages in excess of $65,000, other damages over $100,000 related to home health care, and claimed $100,000 in future medical treatment for additional back surgeries. While Plaintiff demanded $600,000, we successfully resolved the case for $200,000 at mediation in September 2010.
